Do you know what happens when businesses start to grow?

The business owner forgets to protect what they are good at their x factor their point of difference.

There is always one thing that you do REALLY well – I mean this is probably the exact reason you started your own business.

Maybe it’s two or three things, but it’s not everything.

But sadly, when businesses first start, you have to suck it up and just do all the things. The problem is, at some point that must change if you’re going to scale and grow the business to its potential.

You’ll have to stop doing everything but your ONE superpower the thing you are good at.

I remember when I had this aha moment about my to-do list. I was doing everything. Support, design, copy, admin—you name it, I did it. But the one thing that made us the most money was when I was on creating content and getting onto a stage or a webinar, a video, a podcast or face to face pitching.

I make more money in 90 minutes than in the rest of the month combined.

That’s when I realized I had to build a business that allowed me to be creating and pitching as much as possible and forgo everything else.

I have trained many of my clients to have the same epiphany. All of my clients now know that there is stuff in their business that has to get done, but if they are busy doing it they are held back from their true gifts.

Use the 80/20 rule. If you typically spend 80% of your time doing things that are not your superpower and 20% of your time working with your greatest gift, then just flip it.

Try rearranging your day so 80% of your energy is on that superpower and 20% is all the other stuff.
